Terms of Service

Welcome to Tasklane ("Tasklane", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website (tasklane.co) and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.

Tasklane is a project and task tracker. You create projects and tasks, organise them by status, and view them as a board of projects, a lane per project, a kanban board, or a single list. The Service is provided as a web application.

You must be at least 18 years old. You sign in with a supported identity provider (currently Google) and agree that the account information provided is accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under it.

Your data. You retain ownership of the projects and tasks you create. By using the Service, you grant Tasklane a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service.

Your responsibilities. You will not use the Service for illegal purposes and you will comply with applicable laws.

Tasklane offers a free plan (up to 3 active, non-archived projects – archiving a project frees a slot) and a paid Pro plan with unlimited projects. Current pricing is shown before you subscribe.

Pro subscriptions are billed via our payment processor and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You may cancel Pro at any time in your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period – your account reverts to the free plan, data intact. No refunds for partial periods.

We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to violate any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service
• Distribute malware, spam, or malicious content
• Scrape or harvest data using unauthorised automated means
• Reverse engineer or extract source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service

We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as-is". We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part with reasonable notice to paid subscribers. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such collection and processing.

The Service, including all software, designs, and technology, is owned by Tasklane and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you ownership rights to the Service. If you provide feedback, you grant Tasklane the right to use it without compensation.

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

We are not responsible for:

• Loss of data due to user error
• Third-party services (Vercel, PlanetScale, Google, or our payment processor)
• Unauthorised access due to compromised credentials
• Service interruptions or downtime

You agree to indemnify and hold Tasklane harmless from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in UK courts. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact matt@mattspear.co to attempt informal resolution.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms plus our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Tasklane.
